Our highlights of 2022

As we head towards to holidays, our CEO shares the year's highlights

Our highlights of 2022

As we come to the end of our first full year as an organization, I want to thank you for supporting Connect Humanity’s journey so far.

It’s been a year of building and growing our team, creating partnerships, launching programs, and helping to accelerate digital equity in communities in need. To showcase how far we’ve come so far, I’m proud to share our 2022 highlights.

Take a look to learn about some of the people we’ve supported to deliver better broadband. People like Ms. Wanda Manning, a former school teacher at the forefront of a fight to bring lightning-fast fiber internet to East Carroll, one of the poorest communities in the US. Read about pioneers like LaShawn Williamson and her team at Wave 7, a Black-owned, woman-led wireless ISP providing fast, affordable internet access in the rural town of Enfield, North Carolina where residents have struggled for years with unreliable, expensive service.

While their stories show what’s possible, the people doing digital equity work need more support. Without it, billions of people will fall further behind just by staying where they are.

That’s why Chris Worman and I founded this organization. It’s why we are committed to building upon the foundations we’ve set and ensure that in 2023 more people than ever have the connectivity they need. To support our work, please donate or get in touch.

None of this would be possible without our partners, friends, and funders. Thank you!

We’ll soon be winding down for the holidays so we can come back rested and ready to do even more in 2023.

From everyone at Connect Humanity, we wish you and yours a peaceful break and a Happy New Year when it comes.

Jochai Ben-Avie
Chief Executive, Connect Humanity
