Marco serves as Connect Humanity’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and leads our efforts within the finance functions, including accounting, financial planning & analysis, and administration. He has over 20+ years of progressive management experience in establishing and guiding organizations in both the private and public sectors and has led successful fund-raising rounds and established businesses from concept to functioning operations.
Most recently, Marco was the CFO and Chief Administrative Officer for The Agricultural Gas Company, “AgGas”, an agricultural technology start-up based in Northern California. Prior to Ag Gas, Marco was the Managing Director – Head of Finance, HR and Administration for Unison, a fintech company based in San Francisco. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies (BHHC), an industry-leading provider of specialty insurance products and served as CRO (Chief Risk Officer) and Vice President of Portfolio Management for Karum, a private label credit start-up, providing credit programs and solutions to both retailers and under-represented segments of the consumer markets in Mexico, Central and South America.
Marco holds a B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from San Francisco State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California (CPA – inactive). Outside of work, you can find Marco hanging out with his family or indulging his basketball obsession on a court somewhere in Northern California.
