Mark Mangino is an AmeriCorps Fellow Participating in the American Connection Corps (ACC) program. He is part of the Appalachia Digital Accelerator team at Connect Humanity, where he works with communities to document and understand their connectivity needs and the challenges. Through interviews, writing and photography, he will help share community stories and unpack how the Accelerator is supporting them to take control of their digital future.
Mark wants to build a professional life driven by purpose. He believes: “Success does not reside in material or money, but leaving my mark on something positive and beneficial. This is my ultimate goal in my career.”
From New Castle, PA., which is about 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh, Mark has participated in “Meals on Wheels’ in his local community, and has done federal work with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDot). He graduated from Westminster College, PA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. While attending he played football and threw Javelin in track earning a bowl game win in football, and a PAC championship in track.
