Sarah Brown-Campello is the Community Engagement Manager at Connect Humanity.
Sarah is passionate about building communities of practice and sharing knowledge. She joined from a trade association that represents the payments and financial technology industry where she built a formalized infrastructure and grew industry affairs business groups. In this role, she created knowledge products and tools on issues relevant to the payments ecosystem in areas like underwriting, payment facilitation, and mobile technologies.
Before that, Sarah spent seven years in the international development field, most recently working for WINGS as their Network & Programs Coordinator, where she led projects and conversations around strengthening the philanthropy support ecosystem with an emphasis on the Global South to #LiftUpPhilanthropy.
She received her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from Dickinson College (USA) with minors in Latin American & Caribbean Studies and Africana Studies and has a MS in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the University of Sydney (AUS).
Sarah began her career in Israel/Palestine with two organizations – Yahel & Ultimate Peace – both which gave her first hand exposure to community building, grassroots advocacy, and building broad coalitions for social good.
Sarah lives in Washington D.C. where she spends weekends trying new restaurants, playing ultimate frisbee, and hiking with her dog, Tubaina.
