Final week to propose a session at RightsCon 2023
Calling for sessions on Internet Access and Inclusion
As our friends at Access Now gear up for RightsCon 2023, the deadline to submit session proposals is just days away, closing this Thursday January 19, 2023 at 23:59 Pacific Standard Time.
So if you’re thinking of applying to present — now is the time.
As a co-founder of RightsCon and a co-chair for this year’s Internet Access and Inclusion track, I’d love to see proposals from experts and activists tearing down barriers to digital equity. Whether you’re working to expand internet access, bringing down the cost to connect, advancing digital skills or advocating for better policy to ensure more people can participate fully in our online world, RightCon 2023 needs your voice.
Taking place in Costa Rica and online from June 5 to June 8, RightsCon is the world’s leading summit on human rights in the digital age. With hundreds of sessions and thousands of participants from 150 countries, it is a powerful platform to advance your work, build trust, connect with partners, find solutions, and achieve outcomes. My inbox is quieter during the week of the conference than at any other time of year. Why? Because the digital rights community is together at RightsCon.
Hosting a session, whether online or in-person, is an opportunity to tap into a global community of experts, build facilitation and leadership skills, and shape the agenda for human rights in the digital age. Learn more about the program and the Call for Proposals on the RightsCon website.
We’re not looking for “perfect” proposals — we’re looking for potential. So if you’re unsure whether to submit, please go ahead and if the session is accepted, the team will help you refine it later. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to the RightsCon team at email@example.com.
I truly hope to see your work represented at RightsCon Costa Rica! If you do submit, please let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org.

You’ll be notified about the final status of your session proposal in late March 2023.
