In our connected world, broadband is a vital tool for our citizens. This plan will serve as a practical guide to bring high-speed service to all of our citizens and make the digital dark days a thing of the past in our county.

The Meigs County Connectivity Plan outlines a comprehensive strategy to address broadband challenges, including the development of a county-wide fiber-to-the-home network to connect unserved and underserved areas. It also proposes initiatives to enhance digital literacy and reduce service costs, ensuring all residents can access affordable, reliable internet. By prioritizing community engagement, fostering public-private partnerships, and leveraging state and federal funding opportunities, the plan aims to build a robust digital infrastructure that drives economic growth and benefits residents and businesses.

“With many thanks to Connect Humanity and Buckeye Hills, this plan will serve as the blueprint for our efforts over the next few years. The extensive data obtained through the Accelerator will help guide our efforts to obtain funds via BEAD and other state and federal sources. Future leaders and elected officials will use this roadmap as their basis for solving the digital disparities in our community”
