Brian Snider is a seasoned broadband executive with more than two decades of experience designing, building, and operating fiber networks across the U.S. He currently serves as CEO of Halo Fiber, a mission-driven internet service provider working to close the digital divide in underserved communities across Alabama. As Advisor of Broadband Implementation at Connect Humanity, Brian brings deep expertise to community broadband planning and implementation and supports the investment team with technical analysis and due-dilligence.

Previously, Brian was the founder and CEO of Lit Communities, a firm dedicated to helping communities design and implement broadband solutions through public-private partnerships. Under his leadership, Lit advised over 100 municipalities and launched community-driven networks in Medina County, OH, and Brownsville, TX — bringing fiber internet to tens of thousands of homes.

Brian’s career spans leading roles on large-scale deployments with AT&T, Verizon, Google Fiber, and Huntsville Utilities, covering every aspect of broadband—from engineering and permitting to construction and ISP operations. He is passionate about ensuring that network investments drive long-term educational, economic, and health outcomes for the communities they serve.

Brian lives in Birmingham, Alabama with his wife, Lauren, and their children. Off the clock, he’s a sports memorabilia collector, basketball fanatic and proud coach of his son’s travel team — the Rising Stars.
