For years, the residents of East Carroll Parish, Louisiana endured the frustrations of life without reliable, affordable internet access. When they spoke to their providers about improving service, they were met with indifference, being told to be happy with what they had. They were not — and decided to take matters into their own hands, creating a broadband taskforce organized through Delta Interfaith, a church-based group.

Through years of planning, incremental victories, and unwavering determination, their efforts are paying off. East Carroll will soon have affordable internet with lightning-fast speeds that rival some of the best in the nation.
