Building the digital future of South Texas
Rio Grande Valley Broadband Coalition
The Rio Grande Valley Broadband Coalition is a network of local partners working to accelerate digital connectivity and opportunity. Our mission is to expand access to affordable, high-speed internet throughout the region and ensure that all RGV families, nonprofits, and businesses can fully participate in the digital world.

Building opportunity in South Texas
The Rio Grande Valley Broadband Coalition is a collaborative alliance of local governments, community organizations, internet service providers, educational institutions, businesses, and nonprofits, all united in the mission to expand digital access and adoption throughout South Texas.
In the Rio Grande Valley, only 46% of households have a fixed internet subscription. Our coalition is dedicated to closing this digital divide by enabling affordable, reliable, high-speed internet access for all our underserved communities.
Our commitment is to foster a more connected and inclusive future for all residents and businesses in the Rio Grande Valley with enhanced opportunities in education, healthcare, employment, and participation in civic life.
We’re taking on the digital divide in our communities because it is the most powerful way to unlock the talents and potential our people have.
Dr. Ambrosio Hernandez, Mayor of the City of Pharr
